What is DVR Service?
DVR stands for digital video recording, which allows you to record any TV program to your receiver and watch it whenever you want. It's TV on your own schedule. Plus, you can even rewind and pause live TV. DVR service from DIRECTV costs just $7 per month and requires a DIRECTV Plus® DVR or DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR. The fee is automatically applied to your bill when you order one of these receivers.

*Actual recording capacity depends on type of programming being recorded. To access DIRECTV HD programming, HD Access fee ($10/mo.), a DIRECTV Slimline dish, along with DIRECTV HD Receiver (H20, H21, H23, HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23), HD television equipment and a qualifying programming package are required. Number of HD channels varies by package.
